Our Wedding

Lindsay &amp; Cam met in October 2022 through mutual friends while at Butler University. After a long general chemistry lab, they went with a group to Atherton Union for dinner together. Cam was pretty quiet that night, and Lindsay found herself asking questions to get him to open up. After that evening, they started spending more time together: studying, hanging out, and slowly getting to know each other. By November 2022, Cam was ready to start dating, but Lindsay asked if we could stay friends a little longer to build a stronger foundation. That time turned out to be really meaningful for us. On March 17, 2023, they officially started dating. Not long after, they were faced with their first big challenge: long distance. Just weeks later, Lindsay left to study abroad in Italy, and they spent a month in completely different time zones. Even though it wasn’t easy, it showed them how strong their connection was and how much they truly meant to each other. That summer, they were finally able to spend more time together: visiting each other’s homes and attending our first wedding together. Being apart had only made them closer, and they quickly learned how much they valued having each other in their lives. On April 8, 2024, they experienced the solar eclipse together at Butler. Watching it on campus made it even more special, and it became one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments where everything paused, and they got to take it in together. As their relationship continued to grow, so did their ability to support each other through every high and low. Whether it was school stress, big transitions, or celebrating milestones, they have always been each other’s rock. That support has become one of the most important parts of their relationship. Over time, they also made so many memories with each other's families, traveling together to Florida and Arizona, and continuing to grow even closer through every stage of life. Summer 2025 was especially meaningful because they were both in Indianapolis for internships. After years of long distance, experiencing everyday life together felt incredibly special. They loved exploring Indy: trying new restaurants, discovering coffee shops, and spending time with friends. They also went to the Indiana State Fair, where they pet animals, tried classic fair food, and enjoyed a perfect summer day. We spent many nights out with Cam's roommates at local bars and spots, truly settling into life in the city together. In August 2025, we continued making memories: exploring both Indy and Cincinnati, trying new places together, and enjoying time with friends. That same month, the guys came down to Cincinnati and went to a Reds vs. Cardinals game (and the Reds won!), which was such a fun weekend together. In December 2025, they went to the Christkindlmarkt in Carmel with Cam’s parents, which was such a special holiday memory. That same month, Cam came to Cincinnati to take care of Lindsay after her wisdom teeth procedure, where Lindsay refused to let go of him and just walked around holding onto his sweatshirt the entire time. Looking ahead, Cam began his job with AES Restaurant Group in Zionsville, Indiana, in February 2026, marking the start of his career and their next chapter in Indiana. They are also so excited for July 2026, when they will move into a townhouse in the Fishers area during Lindsay's pharmacy school rotation year and officially start living together. On March 17, 2026, exactly three years after they started dating, Cam proposed in Holcomb Gardens at Butler University, bringing everything full circle back to where their story began. After the proposal, Cam surprised Lindsay with a dinner celebration at Mama Carolla’s, where both of their families and closest friends were waiting to celebrate with them. It was such a fun and exciting way to end the day, surrounded by the people they love most. It was the easiest “yes,” and they are so excited for this next chapter and to celebrate with everyone at the wedding on June 12th, 2027!

Hotel Block

Coffee Emporium is one of our favorites! Their peanut butter mocha is a delicious sweet treat. We always make a point to stop there whenever we're in Cincy. It's the perfect spot to grab a quick coffee or bite to eat, with amazing espresso drinks, house-roasted coffee, and tasty pastries. They also have a cute outdoor patio for when the weather is nice.

Coffee Emporium

A Cincinnati staple and a must-try for first-timers! Their chili is served over spaghetti or as a "coney" hot dog, topped with finely shredded cheddar cheese. Order it as a "3-way" (chili, spaghetti, and cheese) for the classic experience. It's a uniquely Cincy thing and worth every bite.

Skyline Chili

One of Cincinnati's most popular craft breweries, located in the Oakley neighborhood. Great rotating tap list, wood-fir pizza, and a relaxed atmosphere that's easy to spend a few hours in.

MadTree Brewing

An old-school ice cream and candy shop that's been around since 1908. Marble countertops, vintage décor, and really good ice cream (especially raspberry sorbet). Their house-made chocolates are worth picking up as a little take-home treat too!

Aglamesis Bro's Ice Cream & Chocolates

Upscale downtown steakhouse for guests looking to treat themselves to a nice dinner out. Known for great steaks and a classic, polished atmosphere. Reservations are most likely needed.

Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse

A replica of the famous Munich beer hall, just across the river in Northern Kentucky. Big pretzels, schnitzel, large steins of German beer, and a lively atmosphere. It is a fun option for a group night out!

Hofbräuhaus - Newport

A Northern Kentucky spot that has similar chili to Skyline but with a slightly different spice blend that is also delicious.

Dixie Chili

A waterfront shopping and dining area in Northern Kentucky with good views of the Cincinnati skyline. Easy to get to and a nice way to spend an afternoon or evening across the river.

Newport on the Levee

Sightseeing, dinner, and entertainment cruises along the Ohio River. A fun and laid-back way to see the city from the river, especially if you're are looking for something a little different.

BB Riverboats

A Cincinnati staple known for their French pot process, which makes for a dense and creamy ice cream. The black raspberry chip is their staple! They also have great chip wheelies (ice cream between two chocolate chip cookies).

Graeter's Ice Cream

A Cincinnati bakery that's been around since 1928. The yeast donut with chocolate icing is what they're known for. It's hard to stop after eating just one of them!

Busken Bakery

A Hyde Park bakery with a focus on classic pastries and cakes. The opera cream cake is a local favorite, and the thumbprint cookies are a staple worth trying. Our wedding cake is from here :)

The BonBonerie

A walkable neighborhood square with local shops, cafes, and restaurants. It is a great spot for a slow morning or afternoon without any real agenda.

Hyde Park Square

Our venue is located here, set on a stunning golf course in Cincinnati. If you're looking to make a full weekend of it, the course is open to the public and absolutely worth a round if you enjoy playing golf. The views are beautiful and it's a great way to take in the surroundings before or after the wedding festivities.

Cooper Creek Event Center

One of the oldest and most visited zoos in the country. Beyond the animals, the botanical garden side is beautifully kept and worth wandering on its own. If you're visiting and want a fun full-day outing, this is a great pick. Keep an eye out for Fiona the hippo! She's basically a local celebrity at this point.

Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

It is located inside Eden Park and is a beautiful indoor botanical garden home to exotic plants, waterfalls, and rotating seasonal exhibits. They're especially known for their annual Butterfly Show, where thousands of live butterflies fly freely throughout the conservatory, which is a unique experience.

Krohn Conservatory

A Cincinnati pizza restaurant that's been around since 1954. LaRosa's is the kind of place that locals grew up on. Their pizza is a thin crust with a signature sweet tomato sauce. It's a staple that's hard to leave Cincinnati without trying.

LaRosa's Pizzeria

A local favorite known for their creative, rotating menu of specialty pies alongside classic options. The crust is delicious and there's usually something interesting on the menu worth trying beyond your usual order. It's a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner with a good atmosphere.

Dewey's Pizza - Oakley Square

A Cincinnati BBQ restaurant that's best known for their slow-cooked ribs and their signature BBQ sauce. The walls are covered in Cincinnati memorabilia and local history, making it as much of a cultural experience as a meal.

Montgomery Inn

A Cincinnati burger restaurant featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The exterior is covered in neon signs and the inside matches the energy. Known for their build-your-own burgers with creative toppings and house-made sauces and the filet mignon chili is worth ordering too. A fun, loud spot that's great for a casual night out.
